It's all about entertainment.

If you can make at least one person forget their daily routines, then it's worth doing it. Me and my guitar are more than happy to be part of this journey - and entertain you.

Kiitos! Thank you! Danke! Merci! Gracias!

Hey y'all beloved friends, greetings from my holiday!

I just wanted to drop you a line and thank you for all those amazing messages about my career in Lordi. All the great memories, stories and adventures. Very supportive, very loving and I am extremely touched. Thank you.

I'm still not sure what's the next step for me, there are quite a few possibilities, but now I am having a little break from everything. Maybe I will take several new steps, because it seems like one is not enough, haha. I'll make sure to let you know then.

I also want to thank you for all those birthday messages! A brand new decade for ne, bring it on, I am AMENABLE to it. 😉

This is the end

My beloved friends, fans and supporters.
My heart has never been as heavy as it is today. Never.

Today is the day that I have to tell you that my guitar has became silent in Lordi. I never thought I'd write these lines, but life happens and people change.

Half of my life time I gave all for my dream to be a Rock'n'Roll star. From a tiny village in Finland I got to travel the world and play for you. I made my dream come true! And it wouldn't have been possible without the support from all you amazing and crazy people. We shared so many amazing memories, all those live shows, your smiling faces in the crowd, hands on my shoulders, the gifts you gave me, the stories you told me. I will cherish those forever. And I can't thank you enough, for all that you've been giving me. All the love, the support, all of it.

THANK YOU!

A journey like this is only possible when you have hard working people around you. A thanks-to-list would be massive, but everyone who worked with me and with the band deserves my endless gratitude. From record labels to booking agencies, from managers to accounting firms, from bus drivers to catering people. Special thanks to our crew - you amazed me every day with your hard working attitude. And extra special thanks to all the guitar techs I worked with. Long days sometimes in very demanding and challenging working conditions - I salute you. Very special thanks also to all my cooperation partners during these 25 years, latest Schecter guitars, Ovation guitars, inTune Gtr picks and S.I.T Gtr strings. I've been blessed to have had a chance to work with so many great people, thank you all. Last but not least, thanks to all the past and present Lordi band members - playing together with you was the best. Let's smile when we meet - cheers!

I don't know what the future will bring, all I can tell you is that right now I'm relieved, but sad. I'm grateful but unsure where my path will take me. A big chapter of my life has come to an end, but a new one is starting and I can't wait to see what life has to offer for me.

Let's celebrate what we had together. Let's celebrate Amen-Ra. Who's in?

So be it, it shall be done, <3,
Yours,
Amen

Happy New Year!

Greetings noble citizens of Amen-Ra Dynasty Kingdom 🙏 How have you been? We have gathered here today to celebrate New Year's Eve, so here's a little peek into 2022. First, this year was like a two sided coin. A lot of shows were canceled and postponed. It was expected but not accepted. Then again, Lordi released seven phenomenal studio albums! I can't be more happy and privileged to be part of such a great project. But, what's the point of the whole music business if you can't play live? These times are crazy and we just have to be patient and wish for better times to come. And they will. I want to thank you all who are with me and with the band during these times, we need each other more than ever. 🤟🏼

2021, right. Goodbye. 2022, welcome, what do you have for us? Entertain us. I'm afraid we will have some shows canceled and postponed again. Maybe it's a new normal. Sometimes you play, sometimes not, it's quite simple. We have a lot of shows booked for next year, so if you shoot with the big guns, I think sometimes you hit somewhere, right? I do this because I want to play live, for you, with you. Period.

2022 is going to be a BIG year for me. It's a year when I celebrate my 25 years in Lordi. It's half of my lifetime. Yeah, I know I know. And yes, as you can do the math, it means that I will turn 50. I think it's just another gear in my rock 'n roll gearbox, so let's hit the highway. So much has happened during these years and I started to think about how I could celebrate this remarkable year. Yes, more music. That's essential. Amen-Ra's Dynasty will release more music, hopefully the full album. Also, I will finish my ambitious saga called "Before Life - Life - After Life". It's an instrumental, half an hour story about how I see this cycle of life. The plan is to release it not only as audio but also in digital artwork format. What else? Well, as we are on fire here, maybe I should tell you, noble friends, there's a book on the way! Oh yeah, that's the plan. I wanted to put down my memories and experiences and stories from these Lordi years as long as I still remember something. The writing process started over a year ago, now we are a little behind our schedule but it will be finished before the summer. If the actual release goes to '23, then that's what it is, but anyway, the book is on the way. I hope you'll like it then. At least me and my writer have had so much fun writing it so it has already been worth doing it, haha.

Sounds like a great busy year for me and that's the way I want my rock 'n roll! Also Lordi's debut album "Get Heavy" will turn 20 years old so that's one reason to celebrate 2022, this little firstborn. Of course Lordi hopefully plays many shows and on top of that, there's a plan to do "An evening with Amen-Ra" -guitar clinics in autumn. I hope you have lot of fun, happiness and love in 2022, stay safe, stay cool and never stop rock and roll.

Amen-Ra goes acoustic with Ovation

I am more than excited to tell you that I am now part of the Ovation acoustic guitar family! In the early days of Lordi, we didn't want to have any acoustic or clean sounds on our albums. We just wanted loud electric guitars. Little by little, we started to add some clean sound here and there, but you probably won't even hear those all! And yeah, years and albums went by, and then we reached the point where we were even ready for an acoustic guitar solo! (»Granny's Gone Crazy« from the album »Babez for Breakfast«). When we were working on this new release, »Lordiversity « (7 album box set), we found out that we needed more and more real acoustic guitar sound. Then with the big help of Nalle, Gewa Music contacted me and after few meetings with Thomas Neuhierl (from Gewa), I signed the contract with Ovation guitars. I could not be happier with this opportunity to work with this legendary company! I have always loved the Ovation guitar design - it's something different and that's what I like, standing out ;) Those guitars are also great to play for a guy like me who has a strong electric guitar background. I will talk more about the sound later, but I tell you this - it is exactly how I want the acoustic guitar to sound. You will hear it on the new albums and someday live too!

Woah, this is crazy - me being part of the Ovation family - life can be adventurous and this is the trip I feel honored to take!

Wow! You guys are crazy 😍 Within less than an hour after I posted about it on Instagram (I couldn't even post here before all the vinyl were gone 😱) you completely emptied my shop on eBay! I'm working on restocking as soon as possible (not only vinyls, but even more!) and will keep you posted once you can buy my single on eBay again. I love you guys. Cheers!

Stay safe, love <3,
